Long Buckby Archery Club

LBAC have a field archery course at the Daventry Rugby Club.

The Daventry Archers Field Target organisation are holding their next field archery competition on Sunday 26th Feb 2011 at the Rugby Club.

DAFT are part of the English Field Archery Association (EFAA). To shoot the EFAA round you must be a member of the national body and therefore to take part you must join the EFAA. When this shoot takes place no one else can shoot down the field as the whole area is used.

The competition will be the "Field" round.

Joining EFAA costs £20 p.a.

There is an LBAC meeting at 7.30pm on Tuesday 24th Jan at Daventry Rugby Club to discuss the proposed costs to the club for using the rugby club site. All committee and club members welcome.

To ALL juniors, the County Archery Society hold junior coaching sessions on a monthly basis, I would encourage as many juniors as possible to attend, the details are:

Daventry Leisure Centre will not be available on 31st March due to an all day booking.

Just thought you might to know that since March 2004 until the close of the old site that a total of 7379 hits were recorded - this equates to 129 hits per month.

Venue: Daventry Leisure Centre, Lodge Road, Daventry NN11 4PF

Session 1: Worcester 9.30 am Sighters

Session 2: Vegas 12.30 pm Sighters

Session 3: Portsmouth 15.30 pm Sighters

Entry Fee: £7.00 Single Round £12.00 for 2 Rounds and £15.00 for 3 Rounds

There's no shooting on Saturdays at the Leisure Centre until the new year but a few members will be shooting outdoors at Daventry Sports Field on Christmas Eve.

Shooting starts at 10am but wrap up warm!!

Come and join us for the fun annual Christmas Fun Shoot

10am - 1pm at Daventry Leisure Centre

Refreshments will be available and we ask members to bring something to contribute to the food. Please contact Allison Taylor for more info.

Please also bring along a gift/per person, up to the value of £5 to enter Secret Santa instead of a shoot fee.

This is a Metric round—3 dozen arrows at 30 Mtrs

The next Long Buckby Archery Club Beginners Course starts on a Wednesday in May 2012. The exact date is yet to be confirmed so watch this space! The course will be from 6.15 pm until 8.00 pm and held at Long Buckby Scout Hut.
