We are a friendly club, full of enthusiasm, and will guarantee that you will soon feel at home. Our membership includes county archers, both adult and junior. We have qualified coaches and experienced archers to help you improve what ever your experience.
The club shoot predominately target archery but we also have a field archery course and we hold a number of competitions in both formats annually.
Beginners courses lasting 6 weeks run on Wednesday evenings at Long Buckby Scout Hut, and Saturday mornings at Daventry Community Centre. The course teaches you to shoot safely and with confidence. Have a go sessions can be arranged at fetes, leisure centers and schools subject to a safety inspection. Birthday parties and corporate events can be tailored to meet your needs.
The club is always keen to welcome new members!

This is a quick reminder that next week, 23rd December, will be our Christmas Shoot. The hall will be available to us from 10:30am until 1:30pm.
I am told that this year the targets will be based on the film 'A Christmas Carol,' and there MAY be extra points on offer for fancy dress?
There will be an American Super afterwards; please feel free to share below what items you are able to contribute so that we don't all bring the same..!
As usual, there is a secret Santa (£5 max) for those that wish.....

A lot of you mentioned organising something for Tony when he was diagnosed with cancer last year. Unfortunately though his condition became so unpredictable that we were unable to arrange anything in time. However, for those of you that are not aware, to honour Tony’s memory and say thank you for everything he did for Long Buckby Archery Club, we nominated him for a Life Time Achievement Award in the upcoming Daventry District Sports Awards.
This afternoon I received a phone call to inform us that Tony’s application has reached the finals. I have been to see Sylvia and Graham this evening to tell them about the nomination; they were both really touched by the sentiment. Martin and I will attend the awards ceremony with them next week, where hopefully Tony will be recognised for his outstanding contribution to the community, and the sport that we all love.
